Vannamei shrimp production depends on stable pH, dissolved oxygen, water temperature and salinity. Manual inspections can miss changes between sampling rounds.
YenGear developed an IoT hardware and software system for local shrimp farms.
The system continuously monitors pH, dissolved oxygen, water temperature and salinity. It also connects feed-distribution equipment and records changes in pond conditions.
When a configured value moves outside its range, the cloud platform sends app and SMS notifications so farm staff can inspect the pond and respond.
Continuous data and remote alerts reduce routine inspection work and give farm staff a more complete operating record.
The project team reviewed the pond layout, monitoring parameters, equipment interfaces and alarm workflow before configuring the hardware and cloud platform.
As a company focused on industrial IoT data transmission and control, YenGear uses this kind of project to connect product engineering with the realities of farm operations.
