A Site-and-Cloud Architecture for Cold Rooms

Field sensors and equipment circuits connect to a Y951 control cabinet. Depending on the site, the cabinet can use 4G, Wi-Fi or RJ45 to send readings and receive approved commands through YenGear IoT Cloud.

One cabinet can operate a single cold room, while multiple cabinets can report to the same platform. Monitoring points, circuit count, control authority and offline behavior remain project decisions.

Can multiple cold rooms share one platform?

Yes. Each room can use its own connected control cabinet and report to the same YenGear IoT Cloud account. The final topology depends on room distribution, circuit count, network and power conditions.

What happens if the network connection drops?

The cabinet retains local manual operation. New cloud commands cannot arrive while the connection is down; any local automation, output state and recovery behavior must be designed and tested for the project.

Which circuits can the system control?

Compatible refrigeration, fan, defrost, lighting and auxiliary circuits can be evaluated. Confirm voltage, load, starting method, protection, feedback and manual-control requirements before selection.

Can the system send temperature and offline alarms?

It can send configured alarms for monitored conditions and cabinet status when the required sensors, connection and notification settings are available. Thresholds, recipients and acknowledgement rules are project settings.

What information should we provide for an assessment?

Provide the number and layout of rooms, monitoring points, equipment and circuit list, cabinet locations, power and network conditions, existing controls and the required alarm and response process.
